A first draft of the provisional calendar has been distributed to all the teams ahead of this weekend's race at the Monza circuit in Italy.

However, the schedule still needs to be approved by the FIA's World Motor Sport Council when they meet in Croatia on the 26-28 September.

The 21-race schedule includes the return of Mexico and Austria to the F1 calendar but does not include New Jersey.

It will feature a race in Russia, providing that the circuit is completed in time.

AUTOSPORT has seen the draft calendar and reports that the season will provisionally start in Australia on March 16th for the usual double-header with Malaysia.

China will follow with Korea being pencilled into an early-season slot in comparison to its current position in the final set of fly-away races.

Bahrain is still on the calendar with the European season kicking off in Spain on May 11th. Monaco will follow next before team's head to Canada.

Austria is scheduled for a June 22nd date at the Red Bull Racing, earlier than originally thought. Silverstone will host the British Grand Prix two weeks after before the final European rounds in Germany, Hungary, Belgium and Italy.

Singapore will start the fly-away's with Japan and Russia following, the latter set for an October 19th date. Abu Dhabi will follow one week later before the F1 circus will travel to Mexico on November 9th.

The US GP held at the Circuit of the Americas will take place on November 16th with the season coming to a close on November 30th.

So India can't host 2 GP in 6 months but Korea can? No offence Mr Ecclestone, I see right through that one regarding India's omission next year.
