A week exploring New York City

After a busy few months of work and having finished my final year of university, it was time for a break. So, I headed off to New York with my friend Becca for a week of exploring a new place.
I decided to film the adventure on my phone, see if the footage was half decent and throw it all together in a video. Here it is. Check out what I got up to during a week in NYC.

McLaren film: A celebration of Bruce McLaren’s life and career

With McLaren’s current position as one of Formula 1’s biggest and most successful teams, struggling to score points as its troubled partnership with Honda continues, it’s easy to momentarily forget the humble beginnings of one of the world’s best-known racing outfits.
A new documentary, simply titled ‘McLaren’, details the extraordinary – but, sadly, far too short – life and career of the team’s founder, Bruce McLaren. It was released in selected cinemas on May 25 and I decided to pop along to a screening to check it out.

Trying to be a supercar spotter

Occasionally, when I get a bit bored, I head into central London to do some supercar spotting. I don’t have a fancy camera, but just want to get some cool photos and see what’s around.

This time I decided to take some videos on my phone too and put them all together afterwards. The result isn't great but it shows most of the nice cars I spotted on a windy Sunday in March.

Autosport International Show - January 2017

On Friday 13 January I attended the 2017 Autosport International Show and decided to film a few clips as I had a walk around.
As usual, a vast array of motorsport machines and cool cars were on display. I hope you enjoy my incredibly average video from my ASI trip!

My 2016 in photos

In general, 2016 has been a very strange year. But for me personally, it's been a busy, relatively successful and enjoyable one.
So I thought it would be good to look through my 2016 in pictures - the perfect way to reflect and bring together some of my favourite memories from the year. It's definitely been an eventful one...

The story of my first published newspaper article...

Writing an article for the local newspaper doesn’t seem like a massive deal now, but back in February 2013 it definitely was for me.
Especially because it was my first article published in print. But sadly, it didn’t all go to plan. Let me explain why.

Weekend in Milan - November 2016

This is something a little different and not Formula 1 or motorsport related at all. But last weekend I travelled to Italy with my family for a city break.

We spent a few days exploring the beautiful city of Milan and I decided to catch some footage from the trip, chucking it all into the video above. I'd definitely recommend visiting Milan if you have a free weekend and feel like a mini adventure.

Review: V8 Race Manager

Strategy games are becoming increasingly popular, but in the motorsport world there's definitely a focus on Formula 1 and single-seater racing.
V8 Race Manager is doing something different, with a new and fun strategy game loosely based on the popular Australian V8 Supercars series – perfect timing for its release, ahead of the Bathurst 1000.

Review: Damon Hill - Watching The Wheels

Damon Hill has enjoyed a successful but unusual career in motorsport, with his route to success in Formula 1 being very different to the rivals he competed against in the 1990s.
I was a little apprehensive about reading his new autobiography Watching The Wheels, as I wasn’t sure if it’d be the enthralling read I was looking for.

Tweewind: Twitter experience for sport on record

Twitter has quickly become a major part of the sporting experience, with many using tablets or phones as a second screen to keep up to date with what’s going on.
But that element is lost when watching sport on record. Tweewind has arrived to fill that void. It’s a simple but clever idea to give people the Twitter experience while watching sporting events on delay.
