Google+ Jack Leslie F1: On the road again...

10 July 2014

On the road again...

As some of you may know, I will soon be off to Germany and Hungary for the next two rounds of the 2014 Formula 1 season.
I will be, like Austria, reporting on all of the latest news and action from the Hockenheimring and the Hungaroring for Richland F1, and I can’t wait to get back in the F1 paddock.

It is incredible to think that my dream of becoming a journalist started almost three years ago (when I first started this blog) and by the end of the summer, I will have three media passes hanging on my wall.

The German Grand Prix will be the third race in a row that I have attended, as I was at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix with my Dad. It was a great experience, the atmosphere was electric and we had a fantastic view of the action on Sunday from our seats at Woodcote.

My time working at the Red Bull Ring last month was hugely valuable and was definitely the best experience of my life. It has made me realise I really don’t want to do anything else.

Next Wednesday (16th July) the road trip to the Hockenheimring will begin. I will be joining Craig and Leanne Boon from Octane Photographic as well as my good friend (Richland F1 founder and editor-in-chief, as well as NBC Sports F1 writer) Luke Smith.

I won’t be returning home between the next two rounds on the calendar, as they are back-to-back, so I will be spending almost two weeks on the road, which is very exciting and will also be a good challenge.

My full focus when I am at the track will be for the website that I have been accredited for (of course). However, I will try and post articles on this blog detailing what I have been up to at the end of each day.

I will try and post plenty of pictures on my social networks as well - such as Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Instagram – so be sure to follow me on those, hopefully it will give you a little look into my experience.

It will be a very busy two weeks but I can’t wait to get back to work in the paddock, learn as much as I can and do the best job possible. The two race weekends should be fantastic and hopefully we will see some more brilliant on-track action.
