2013 Italian Grand Prix Thursday Snap Shot

With plenty of to talk after the Belgian Grand Prix, it was a busy day for drivers, team members and the F1 media on Thursday ahead of the Italian Grand Prix.

Daniel Ricciardo had been confirmed as Webber's replacement at Red Bull, rumours continued to circulate on Raikkonen's future, McLaren continued to celebrate turning 50, we had a provisional 2014 calendar announced and plenty more.

So it was a jam-packed day for everyone. Drivers largely split their day between media commitments, fan signings, track walks and team debriefs ahead of Sunday's race.

Meanwhile team mechanics and engineers got to work preparing the cars for first and second practice.

Newly signed 2014 Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo was a busy chap after his earlier announcement. The 2014 driver line-ups were big talking points with plenty of seats potentially up for grabs.

Max Chilton was one of six drivers involved in the FIA driver press conference. He confirmed that his Marussia contract is for one year only and so is one of many drivers vying for a race seat for 2014.

 Daniel Ricciardo was a busy lad, with lots of media commitments after his earlier announcement. Here he admits that his Red Bull deal was only confirmed and completed after the Spa weekend, only learning that he got the drive on the Wednesday after the race.

Button was also in the FIA driver press conference, admitting that he is "very happy" to stay at McLaren for 2014 despite not having a contract. He feels that it would be the "wrong move" to go elsewhere.

Fernando Alonso's future is still a major talking point but since Red Bull have filled their remaining seat for next year, it now looks very likely that he will remain at Ferrari. During the press conference he said: "I still have three and a half more years with Ferrari that I intend to respect and hopefully to increase a little bit. I want to finish my career in the best team in the world, which is Ferrari."
