Jenson Button Trust Triathlon 2013

Now I'm not a very sporty person, but I know a lot of Formula 1 fans are and this is the perfect opportunity to compete against one of the sports fastest racing drivers, Jenson Button.

Granted, you will not be seated in a McLaren MP4-28 or Lotus E21. However if you share Jenson's other love, triathlons, then this is the event for you!

After the huge success of last year’s triathlon, Button is hosting it again in 2013. The Brit had a tough time last year, forgetting his wet suit and hastily trying to fit in to his girlfriends. It seemed to work until it got a bit tight and he ended up having a panic attack.

The chosen charity this year is Help for Heroes again, and entry for the event kicks off today. However this week will only be available for people committed to raising a minimum of £250 for the charity.

There are 500 spots available overall and the event will take place on Sunday 14th July at the Luton Hoo estate in Bedfordshire. The format is an elimination style and afterwards there will be a post-race party, BBQ and Live Music.

Entry for people not able to commit to fundraising (if there are any places left) will kick off at 9AM on February 22nd.

After last year’s brilliant total of £20,000 raised, Button is aiming high and hopes for over £100,000. You can sponsor him in the triathlon here: http://www.justgiving.com/JensonButton or text through JustTextGiving. To donate £5 text JENS95 £5 to 70070 or £2 text JENS95 £2 to the same number.
