Romain Grosjean has been given a €50,000 fine and a 1 race ban after the turn 1 incident at the Belgian GP.
Stewards decided that Grosjean was responsible for the crash after he admitted that he "could not be sure" who started the crash. Grosjean moved across on McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton, causing him to spin. This catapulted Grosjean over the Sauber of Sergio Perez and into Fernando Alonso, who then took a second hit from Lewis Hamilton.
Maldonado gained a double penalty, first for jumping the start and then for hitting Glock at the restart. 5 grid places each means that the Williams driver will drop 10 places on next weekends Italian GP grid.
The ban means Grosjean will not be racing in next weekends Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Have your say about the stewards decision by voting in the poll to the right. -->
