Team Lotus are changing their name to Caterham for 2012 who the team now own. This will see them drop the Team Lotus name after losing the battle in court in May, but it has been told team boss Tony Fernandes already had the Caterham name as a backup plan.
Lotus Renault Gp may also tweak their name, hopefully to Lotus Gp, but the decision has yet to be decided. They kept their name after it was found Group Lotus sponsored them who own the "Group Lotus" name. They both handed in their requests to change names on Thursday which was granted.
