He is aiming to be near team mate Vitaly Petrov's pace claiming it to be a "good reference". * Mclaren have told their drivers to attack in this weekends Belgian Grand Prix and have a more aggressive approach to racing. This is after their 2 drivers each took 1 win a piece in the last two races and hope to keep the momentum going over the rest of the season. With Hamilton 86 points and Button 100 points behind the championship leader Vettel they hope their raw pace can be kept. Mclarens managing director Jonathan Neale says "We are not in a position to play a safe game. We have to give everything" and that "The next few races are going to be hard-fought as Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren all have cars capable of winning races." Neale also admits that the team have made recent errors but are pushing forward to challenge rivals Ferrari and Red Bull. The whole team have been working especially hard to sort out recent Mechanical and Team influenced problems like pit stops and strategy to help eliminate future errors.

* On Thursday Michael Schumacher celebrated his 20th anniversary of his debut Grand Prix. The Grand Prix was held at Spa on the 25th August 1991. Jenson Button admitted praising Schumacher for the feat of 20 years in F1, saying he wishing to emulate the same 20 years in F1 in his own Career.

* Scottish Paul Di Resta, from Force India, is determined to show everyone his 7th place in Hungary was not a one off results. After scoring in the first 2 rounds of the 2011 season he went 8 races without a single point. Di Resta is hoping recent strong performances at Spa and Monza from the Force India cars will create more strong results.

* As well as the DRS being banned from Eau Rouge for this weekends Belgian Grand Prix, the decision backed by many drivers including Felipe Massa, changes to the track have been made including the Rivage hairpin being widened on for higher safety. They also replaced the corner's gravel trap with an asphalt run-off area.

* Many drivers chose the Summer break to go on holiday and relax. For example Jenson Button went to Hawaii, Lewis Hamilton went to America, Fernando Alonso spent his summer in his home region of Spain and Liuzzi visited Greece. All the teams shut up shop for the mandatory 2 weeks.

* Ferrari have stated they are "very motivated" as the season comes back from summer break, but reveal the development for their 2012 car is in "full throttle".

* Many trucks from the F1 circus left for Belgium on Wednesday, especially the British teams. Both Mclaren, Force India and Virgin all tweeted they were off to Spa travelling by Road, Rail and Air.

* Lotus Racings Karun Chandhok has revealed he is still unsure whether he will be driving at the inaugural Indian Grand Prix later this year. However he is sure of the future between him and F1 as he revealed that in 6 of the first practice sessions this year, he will be driving in them.
