My Favourite driver is of course the unbeatable unstoppable and unbelievable Lewis Hamilton.

Reason Being...

He is different form the rest, he is an aggressive driver and some think of that as his weak point but  see that as a strength, because thats what makes Lewis the driver he is, every driver has a personality and if Lewis wants to show a bit of aggression the I dont see whats wrong with that!
Lewis doesn't always have a fast car but he makes he most of what hes got, an every chance he gets he thrives to take. he never gives up never. He always gives 100% in every race even when there is the littlest chance possible.

Take for example the german gp where Lewis didnt have the fastest car but he used what he knew best his ability to never give up helped him re-overtake mark an not let anyone take that 1st place and when Seb made a few mistakes that was Lewis's chance. good tactics and skill are essential in F1 something Lewis plays well to and shows in every race.

Last year Lewis eventually had a 1/mil chance of winning the title but that didnt matter why? because what matters is he HAD a chance, an thats why I like Lewis so much the chance he had was very small but he still took it all the way to the last race, last lap an battled it out for a good finishing position. And he does this every year every year he is in with a chance to win the title no matter how big or small hes always in it till the end.

The first year Lewis came to F1 he started winning races out doing then   team-mate Fernando Alonso, he showed great potential at an early stage. He is also such a lovely person, he loves his fans and  brought so many more people to F1. He tweeted me once so I love him even more for that!
Overall Lewis is a great driver, who shows his passion in his driving for his driving! He's good looking and a genuinely a nice guy and he can overtake, Unlike Others...

That is your personal opinion and i respect that, however i do not see Lewis Hamilton as unstoppable or unbeatable.

There have been numerous times this season where Lewis has had moments of desperation and lost his cool with certain situations. Typical example would be Monaco with a bonkers move going into the Hairpin.

Im not doubting he is not a very fast, aggresive and exciting driver to watch, but i am convinced he is far from the most complete driver on the grid.

It takes more than overtaking skill and aggresion to be successful in Formula 1. A perfect example would be Alain Prost. Prost not only drove with his heart but also with his head allowing him to assess certain situations and make calculated risks.

This was the complete opposite of Senna. We all know Senna was one of the greatest F1 drivers to of lived, however his moments of greatness are tainted by moments of madness which is what Prost used to his advantage: ala Suzuka 1988 and Suzuka 1990.

This is reflected in Hamilton's driving style, yes he does have magic moments but also moments of pure stupidity and immaturity where the red mist descends!

These mistakes have allowed Vettel to be so dominant this season. I personally rate Kobayashi as the best overtaker on the grid and truely think with time he could be the hot property!

I think along with Senna Fans, Hamilton fans fail to dwell on their drivers misdemeanings as well as their great moments after all no driver is perfect? This is where in some cases Button is in respects better as proved in Hungary had the better judgement in mixed conditions where Hamilton was making rash tyre decisions.

Everyone remembers Senna's Donnington 1993 drive? What Senna fans fail to remember is the McLaren although down on power also had the most advanced TCS and Stablilty control on the grid allowing him to have grip other drivers simply couldnt have!

Anyway Im not taking anything away from Hamilton he is a great driver, however as proved is yet the complete package and is somewhat rash! and that is why i personally think is not the best driver on the grid.

This is all coming from a Schumacher fan!

just my 2 pence :)

Cheers

haha i did notice that the longer i read the article! Im a bit of an F1 purist so sometimes i do seem to come across blunt but its just my way of expressing my opinion lol!

Hamilton fans just bamboozle me lol! I think its because a lot of them are just casual fans that dont really have the background knowledge of F1 so they think he's the best thing since sliced bread lol!

Whats your opinion on the best driver on the grid?

Well i have been supporting Jenson Button since his F1 career started, but i was young so only liked his britishness. Now i still think he is a great driver, the best, and he has never had the car to show it. I have grown up now so have more analysis and see how he performs and drives, he is great, very smooth like me on the xbox XD. Thanks for commenting, are you following my blog? :)

ahh its good to see a Jenson fan! it is true he never quite made it till late on! First with Bennetton and then Williams when they were starting their famous BMW partnership. If Schumacher wasnt so dominant in 2004 he could of been in a shout for the title!

His smoothness is a joy to watch, however i think sometimes that is his downfall not allowing him to get heat into the tyres quickly on colder days.

Well this is a comment profile but i think i sent you a link on twitter to my blog? profile on there is F1jp044 if you remember? will follow you with that account though :)
