Haas, Mercedes and McLaren unveil 2016 F1 cars

The Haas, Mercedes and McLaren F1 teams have unveiled their cars for the 2016 season, ahead of the start of winter testing.

All three outfits released the first studio images of their F1 machines online on Sunday, with car launch season in full swing.

Following several years of hard work, Haas F1 revealed the car it will race with in its debut season - the VF-16.

Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez will drive for Haas in 2016, with the former being the first to sample the car when it hits the track on day one of testing.

Meanwhile Mercedes showed off the first images of the W07, following its shakedown at Silverstone on Friday and a whole host of teaser videos posted on Saturday.

The car features an updated livery, with more splashes of green and black, while executive director (technical) Paddy Lowe says there are "a lot of mini revolutions" under the car's bodywork.

The W07 will be driven by reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg this season, their fourth year as team-mates at the Silver Arrows.

Finally the McLaren MP4-31 was uncovered a little while later, with a new, darker livery design and aerodynamic package.

Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso race for the team, with the former getting the first drive of the Honda-powered car.

Both are excited by the new aero upgrades and feel optimistic that positive steps forward have been made after a difficult 2015.
