The sporting regulations allow for two test to take place during the season, with half of the days being reserved for young drivers.

Each event will last for two days, taking place on the Tuesday and Wednesday after the F1 rounds in Spain and Great Britain.

The Spanish Grand Prix test will be from the 17-18 May, with the British Grand Prix sessions running from the 12-13 July.

The last time an in-season test took place at the Silverstone track was in 2014, with the Red Bull Ring in Austria hosting the second two-day event last year.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will also be the venue for the two pre-season tests, each lasting for four days. The regulations have seen the number of winter sessions cut from 12 to eight for 2016.

Several days of testing will also be dedicated to 2017 tyre development with Pirelli, but dates have yet to be confirmed.
