Channel 4, taking over from the BBC, and Sky Sports confirmed the television picks for viewers in the United Kingdom on Monday.

In December it was announced that Channel 4 would replace the BBC as F1’s terrestrial, free-to-air home in the UK. It will broadcast 10 races live in 2016, with the remaining 11 as highlights.

Crucially the races will be uninterrupted by adverts. Sky Sports will continue to show all 21 rounds of the season live on its dedicated channel.

Meanwhile the car launch dates for the 2016 season have started to trickle through, with several teams confirming when their cars will be unveiled for the first time.

Both pre-season tests take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, giving teams eight days of running before the season opener in Australia.

Sauber has already confirmed it will not be at the first test. The opening four-day event will take place in Spain from the 22-25 February, with testing concluding at the circuit from the 1-4 March.

Here are the car launch dates confirmed so far (this post will be updated as more are revealed):
  • McLaren – 21st February
