The 1993 Italian Grand Prix was won by Damon Hill, but the race is best remembered for a dramatic crash at the finish line between the two Minardi drivers.
Fittipaldi's left-front wheel made contact with Martini's right-rear tyre, launching his car into the air. His car did an almost perfect back flip before landing back on its wheels.
Martini crossed the line in seventh place, just outside the points, and Fittipaldi finished in eighth - despite losing a wheel and damaging another. Both drivers were unharmed.
At the front, Hill won for Williams, finishing 40 seconds clear of Jean Alesi. Michael Andretti was one lap down in third, driving for McLaren, ahead of Karl Wendlinger, Riccardo Patrese and Erik Comas.
It was a charging recovery drive by Hill, who started in second place at the Monza circuit and dropped back after early contact with Ayrton Senna.
He moved up the order and was running second behind team-mate Alain Prost when the Frenchman's engine failed with five laps remaining to win his third race of 1993.
