The Interlagos circuit hosted round 18 of the 2014 Formula 1 season last weekend,
with Nico Rosberg securing his first Brazilian Grand Prix victory.
The track produced fantastic on-track action and stunning images. Here is the race weekend in pictures.
Friday
Nico Rosberg topped both Friday practice sessions at Interlagos and proved to have an early advantage over his team-mate.
With the new track surface, conditions were extremely tricky on Friday, with plenty of slides, spins and off-track excursions.
Jenson Button only managed one lap in FP1 before his car lost electrical power and he was forced to stop at the new pit lane entry.
Fernando Alonso's day came to a fiery end after a power-unit problem mid-way through practice two.
Saturday
Overnight rain meant track conditions remained difficult for the third practice session on Saturday morning.
It was a practice clean-sweep for Rosberg, after he ended FP3 at the top of the timesheets.
After a fairly promising Friday, Pastor Maldonado suffered a tough qualifying session and was the slowest of the runners in Q1. His team-mate Romain Grosjean, Jean-Eric Vergne and Sergio Perez were also eliminated.
Daniil Kvyat did not compete in Q2, as he already had a seven-place grid penalty carried over from Austin. He ended the session in the drop-zone, behind Esteban Gutierrez, Nico Hulkenberg and Adrian Sutil.
Rosberg just edged Lewis Hamilton to pole position in Q3, by just 0.033 seconds. Felipe Massa was third, with Valtteri Bottas, Jenson Button, Sebastian Vettel, Kevin Magnussen, Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo and Kimi Raikkonen completing the top 10 on the grid.
Sunday
Rosberg led the field into turn one, with Hamilton retaining second. Massa and Bottas held on to third and fourth, while Button and Magnussen got very close in the fight for fifth.
Rosberg controlled the race early on, but dropped into the clutches of Hamilton. However, a spin for the 2008 world champion just prior to his second pit stop dropped him back.
Gutierrez spent the early part of the race in the top 10, but failed to maintain his position.
Slow second and third pit stops for Bottas dropped him down the field, costing him a good result.
We saw some great battles up and down the field, including the fight for sixth between Alonso and Raikkonen.
Hamilton closed to within just a few tenths of Rosberg in the final part of the race, but he couldn't make a move.
Rosberg took the chequered flag 1.4 seconds clear of his team-mate to take win number five of 2014, closing to within 17 points of Hamilton in the title fight.
Home hero Massa completed the podium after a messy race, which included a five-second stop/go penalty for pit lane speeding and taking to the McLaren pit box by accident.
Button put in a strong drive to fourth, with Vettel, Alonso, Raikkonen, Hulkenberg, Magnussen and Bottas completing the top 10.
