Lotus duo look ahead to Monza

Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado both expect the Lotus F1 Team to struggle at the next race weekend on the 2014 calendar, which takes place at the Monza circuit in Italy.

The drivers believe the historic track will not suit the Renault-powered E22, as it features several long straights and flat-out sections.

Mercedes drivers remain free to race as Rosberg apologises

Mercedes has confirmed that Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton remain free to race this season, following a meeting at the team's factory in Brackley to discuss the events of the Belgian Grand Prix.

Rosberg also "acknowledged his responsibility" and apologised to Hamilton for the contact on lap two of the race at Spa-Francorchamps.

Video: Vettel first to sample Sochi F1 track

Sebastian Vettel has become the first F1 driver to try out the newly-finished Sochi Autodrom, which will host the inaugural Russian Grand Prix this October.


In a promotional event on Monday, the four-time champion took to the circuit - which signed passed FIA race director Charlie Whiting's inspection earlier this month - at the wheel of an Infiniti Q50 Hybrid.

2014 Belgian Grand Prix Driver Reaction

The thrilling 2014 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps was won in style by Daniel Ricciardo, with the Aussie doing just enough to finish ahead of Nico Rosberg.

Valtteri Bottas impressed once again in third, while Lewis Hamilton retired with car damage following an early puncture caused by contact with his team-mate. Here are some post-race thoughts from the drivers:

2014 Belgian Grand Prix Weekend Report

The 12th round of the 2014 Formula 1 season took place at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.

It marked the end of the four-week summer break and 14-day factory shutdown, as well as being the 59th Belgian Grand Prix to appear on the F1 calendar.

Updated: Rossi replaces Chilton at Marussia for Belgian GP

Alexander Rossi will make his Formula 1 debut for the Marussia F1 Team at this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.

The American will replace Max Chilton for round 12 of the 2014 season while "contractual issues are resolved".

F1 2014 game - Austria hot lap

Last week the first F1 2014 game hot lap was released, featuring Fernando Alonso and the Bahrain International Circuit.


Codemasters posted a brand new video today showing off the Red Bull Ring in the up-coming title, which will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 17th.

F1 Flashback - Belgian Grand Prix Memories

This year’s Belgian Grand Prix, held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, will be the 59th time that the race has appeared on the F1 calendar.

F1 2014 game - Bahrain hot lap

After announcing the first details for the next two F1 game titles at the end of July, Codemasters has now released a F1 2014 hot lap video of the Bahrain International Circuit.

It gives us a chance to hear the new V6 Turbo power-units in the game - which will be released in October - for the first time, as well as showing off the track under floodlights.

It gives team members, staff and media the chance to take some time off, relax and return to normality for a little while, as well as enabling the drivers to reflect on their season so far.
