Fernando Alonso was second for Ferrari, with Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg just behind in third and fourth. I was at the race reporting on all of the action for Richland F1. Thursday
Picking up my third F1 media pass was a very exciting moment!
The F1 paddock at the Hungaroring was rather quiet when I arrived on Thursday.
Here is a picture of Romain Grosjean speaking to broadcast media before his session with the online and print journalists.
Daniel Ricciardo was on good form as always when speaking to the media on Thursday.
Here is the view of turn two from the Red Bull Racing Energy Station balcony.
These rather odd tyre chairs were positioned in the F1 paddock. Friday
This was my breakfast every day in the F1 paddock, thanks to Ferrari.
Here was my view for the weekend in the media centre, which was unusually split into two levels.
Red Bull Racing looked slightly closer to Mercedes at the Hungaroring, with both Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo featuring near the front of the timesheets on Friday.
Rosberg took pole position for the race, with Vettel in second and Valtteri Bottas in third.
During FP3 I headed to the back of the Hungaroring paddock to watch the cars tackling turn 13.
As the paddock is raised above the second and 13th corners on the circuit, you get a great view.
Here is the view of the circuit from the balcony overlooking turn two. The stopping power of the cars is incredible and I still like the noise of the new power-units.
Here is a picture of the F1 paddock prior to qualifying.
Sunday
Here is the view from the media centre hallway, overlooking the start/finish straight. Here, the GP2 sprint race had just kicked off.
From the end of my row in the media centre, here are the drivers heading off on the track parade.
And here are some of the drivers returning from the track parade through the paddock.

My view of the F1 grid from the media centre prior to the start, which took place in wet conditions after a brief but heavy rain shower.
After the race, here is a picture of the busy paddock as the teams started to pack up and head home.
Ricciardo was a popular winner after a thrilling race at the Hungaroring. His three-stop strategy worked perfectly and he took the lead in the final laps to take his second F1 victory.
