Second 2014 Bahrain test in pictures

Pre-season testing has come to a close and now all eyes are on Melbourne and the opening round of the 2014 season.

The second four-day event at the Bahrain International Circuit was the final chance for teams to prepare for the first race. Here is the test in pictures.

Sergio Perez set the pace on the opening day of the third and final test, driving the Force India VJM07.

It was a difficult first day at the Bahrain International Circuit for Caterham. Kamui Kobayashi managed just 19 laps thanks to reliability problems.

Red Bull Racing's testing woes continued on Thursday. Daniel Ricciardo completed 39 laps but lost plenty of track time due to issues with the car.

Fernando Alonso completed the most laps of anyone, 122, on day two of the third test.

Due to a 30 minute lunch break being scheduled, the test ended at 5.30pm local time. This meant the floodlights were needed for the closing stages of the sessions.

Perez was fastest once again in the Force India, with the Mercedes-powered VJM07 proving to be reliable once again.

Vettel's first day of the third test in the Red Bull RB10 was a disaster. He managed just four corners before the car broke down and he failed to reappear.

Sutil's day wasn't much better. An engine failure meant he only completed one lap on Saturday.

Felipe Massa set the pace but it was Caterham's Marcus Ericsson who completed the most laps on day three, with 117.

Lewis Hamilton was fastest on the final day of winter testing. The session was extended by 25 minutes so the Bahrain International Circuit's floodlight system could be tested ahead of its first day-night race next month.

Vettel had a more promising day in the RB10 and completed 77 laps despite a spin at turn one.

Lotus suffered a terrible third test and Romain Grosjean's day ended early - once again - on Sunday thanks to an engine issue.
