McLaren will not reveal a new title sponsor at the launch of their 2014 car, which will take place on January 24th.
The team parted ways with Vodafone after seven years at the end of 2013 and look set to unveil the MP4-29 without a replacement, although they insist that they are in good shape financially.
They had originally scheduled to announce their new title sponsor on December 2nd but those plans fell through. Their next plan was to confirm the partner at their car launch, but we will have to wait a little longer to see who it will be.
The Woking-based outfit's managing director Jonathan Neale said that due to the support of their current sponsors, the team has a larger budget than ever for 2014.
"The McLaren Group is a private company, so we don't have to show a profit every year in the same way as PLCs do," he told AUTOSPORT.
"The McLaren Group has sometimes declared a very significant profit in the past, but we don't have to do so if it doesn't suit our strategic objectives so to do.
"Our shareholders - Ron Dennis, Mansour Ojjeh and Mumtalakat - don't receive dividends. They're more interested in growth.
"So, although we won't be announcing a new title partner when we digitally launch our new MP4-29 on Friday, we're in very good shape financially.
"We've got a large number of brilliant partners - Mobil 1, Santander, GSK, Johnnie Walker, Hilton, Hugo Boss, Tag Heuer and SAP - and they all share our ambition and commitment to achieve success.
"As a result, McLaren will have a larger operational budget in 2014 than we've had in any previous year."
Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen will drive for the team this year. For a full look at the grid, go here.
