Red Bull Racing broke two records over the United States Grand Prix weekend.
Sebastian Vettel smashed the record for the most consecutive race victories in one season by taking his eighth win in a row and his mechanics completed the fastest pit stop ever recorded in the sport.
The Milton Keynes based outfit managed to better their own unofficial record set at the Malaysian Grand Prix, which was recorded at 2.05 seconds.
At the time, the team said a sub-two second stop was possible but insisted that they were focusing more on efficiency and consistency rather than outright speed.
With just two pit stops to complete during the 56-lap race, the pressure was on to get it right. Mark Webber's trip to the pit lane on lap 29 was recorded by FOM at just over two seconds.
However, Red Bull's own measurement system registered a different figure. "The car data recorded Mark as being stationary for just 1.923secs, an incredible feat," the team wrote on their official website.
Michael Schumacher's incredible record of 13 race victories in a single F1 season, set in 2004, could be matched by Vettel at this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.
