Adrian Sutil is confident that he will remain at Force India for 2014.
The German driver raced for the Silverstone based squad between 2007 and 2011. He then had a year out before returning to the outfit for this season.
He has had a strong year so far, scoring 26 points and finishing in the top 10 on six occasions. However, luck hasn't been on his side with a number of unfortunate retirements.
Force India has yet to finalise their 2014 line-up but Sutil is confident that he will stay on next season. He told AUTOSPORT: "I will probably do another season here. It's a good team. At the moment, we are not as strong as we used to be but it is one of the strongest private teams and it's hard to find a better seat so I would like to do another season here.
"But I haven't made up my mind completely and no decision has been made."
He believes that he is in a strong position and stresses that he also has a say in his future: "It's not all about the team and whether they say I am allowed to drive or not, I can also make some comments [about] if I want to stay here.
"It's 50/50, it's not that they decide what I'm allowed to do. I think I am in a strong position, I have done my job this year and you would have to find someone else who does the job like I do. If there is a better drive somewhere out there and they want him, fine, take him and good luck."
The 30-year-old also feels that his quality of driving hasn't been rewarded this season with results: "I lost out on quite a few results and I knew they were big changes in Barcelona, Bahrain with the puncture, Malaysia with the pit stop problem. I think we missed out on three top results. But that's how it is, you can't change it."
Force India are currently battling to reclaim fifth in the constructor's standings from McLaren. However, they are also coming under increased pressure from Sauber who have found a step forward in performance.
