Sebastian Vettel has been crowned the 2013 Formula 1 World Champion at the Buddh International Circuit in India.
The German driver took his fourth consecutive title in India and helped propel Red Bull Racing to the constructor's title too. 2013 is the fourth title double for the Milton Keynes based squad as they close the current F1 era in style.
The Red Bull RB9 was quick from the get-go in winter testing but had some strong competition initially. Mercedes, Lotus and Ferrari all had strong cars but that didn't stop Vettel from taking his first win of the season at the second round in Malaysia - a race which should have arguably been won by team-mate Mark Webber.
It has been another incredible season for the 26-year-old German with a total of 10 victories so far. He has wrapped up the title with three rounds to go after a run of six consecutive race victories.
He joins Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher and Alain Prost on the list of drivers to have won four world championships or more.
As the title hopes of Mercedes and Lotus faded throughout the year, Red Bull just got stronger and stronger - largely due to a consistent run of upgrades and the supreme speed and talent of F1's most successful driver on the 2013 grid.
Fernando Alonso has remained Vettel's closest challenger but the Red Bull driver's race victory in India and the Spaniard's 11th place meant that the title is now over.
His race craft, consistency and speed are incredible to watch - there is no faulting him. He may have the best machinery but look at how he has bettered Mark Webber in the same car, he is a truly deserving champion who will undoubtedly go on to claim more in the future.
Mark Webber has, of course, been instrumental in making Red Bull Racing the four-time constructor's champions that they are. He has been overshadowed by his team-mate, but has proven that he is extremely fast.
The Aussie will leave the sport at the end of the season and I really hope he can end the year on a high. He will definitely be missed.
However, some would argue that Red Bull Racing would have won the constructor's crown this season without Webber. And that is what is so incredible about Sebastian Vettel. They would have done. His points tally alone is still above what Ferrari have scored this season with Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.
The incredible combination of Vettel's speed, Adrian Newey's expertise and Christian Horner's leadership have all merged together to create a truly dominant era since the major aero regulation changes in 2009.
Now, we look on to the new V6 Turbo era which kicks off next season. Can Vettel and Red Bull Racing dominate once again? Who knows, but I can't wait to find out.
