Maria de Villota (1980-2013)

I would like to send my condolences to the family and friends of Maria de Villota after she tragically passed away today (October 11th) at just 33-years-old.

Maria previously tested for the Lotus F1 Team and was Marussia's test driver before a terrible accident during a straight line test in July 2012. Doctors confirmed to her family that she died in her sleep as a consequence of neurological injuries sustained in her testing crash. She was such a brave and inspirational person and will be sadly missed. Rest in peace.
