Paul Hembery has confirmed to reporters in the Monza paddock that Red Bull will take part in a Pirelli tyre test later this month.
It is believed that 2014 Red Bull Racing driver Daniel Ricciardo and the Milton Keynes based squad's reserve driver Sebastien Buemi will take part in the 1000km test.
The test will take place at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. Red Bull will run their 2011 car in the test, keeping with Article 22 of the Sporting Regulations.
Pirelli confirmed to Sky Sports F1 that the activities at the test will be focused on "2014 technology."
Mercedes were issued with a reprimand and were banned from the Silverstone Young Driver Test by the FIA International Tribunal earlier in the season after taking part in a 'secret' Pirelli test with their 2013 car and drivers.
However, there will be no such penalty for Red Bull Racing with the use of a 2011 car being within the rules in the Sporting Regulations. Rules permit that Pirelli are allowed to hold 'tyre tests' as long as a current car isn't used and it is restricted to 1000km.
