The Italian supplier will take the medium and super-soft compounds to this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix.

The same tyre compounds that Pirelli will be bringing to the Singapore Grand Prix will also be brought to Yeongam for the Korean Grand Prix.

Discussing the reasoning behind their decision, Pirelli said: "The surface tends to be slippery, with a wide variety of corners and some heavy braking areas. The medium tyre copes well with the wide-ranging demands of the circuit, while the supersoft is capable of generating the highest possible levels of traction on the slippery surface."

The next round in Japan will see the P Zero orange hard and P Zero white medium tyres taken to Suzuka, a classic circuit that is a driver favourite for its high-speed, sweeping bends.

Explaining their decision, they said: "These are designed to soak up the high-energy demands of rapid corners such as 130R and Spoon, which characterise the famous Japanese circuit."

The Indian round of the 2013 season will see Pirelli take the medium and yellow-banded soft tyre compounds to the Buddh International Circuit.

The reasoning behind the compound nominations is "to provide the best possible compromise between performance and durability" around the technically challenging circuit, which will not appear on the 2014 calendar.

Each driver will, of course, be allocated six sets of the 'prime' tyre and five of the 'option', with four sets of intermediates and three sets of wet tyres.
