The Goodwood Revival takes place from the 13th to
the 15th of September and really is a step back in time, to the
40’s, 50’s and 60’s when motorsport was dangerous, glamorous and on the edge.
There are a huge range of races throughout the three days, take a look:
There are a range of Holiday Inn
hotels in the surrounding area of Goodwood that provide the perfect place to
stay if you are attending all three or multiple days of the Revival.
The Revival offers visitors to the world’s most authentic
motor circuit a unique chance to leave behind the ‘modern world’ and really
experience and celebrate the history of motorsport and Formula 1.
It’s the biggest and most famous historical motor race meet
in the world and you can join legends like Sir Stirling Moss, John Surtees and
Derek Bell in celebrating the sports past when drivers raced quite literally
wheel-to-wheel.
The atmosphere really is distinctive with visitors urged to
dress in vintage clothing to really immerse themselves in the era and time. No
modern vehicles are allowed within the circuit perimeter and it really provides
a typically British look with cars racing on one of the most historic circuits
of all time – the Goodwood track hosted iconic Formula 1 rounds in the 50’s and
60’s.
