2013 Monaco Grand Prix, Wednesday Snap Shot

Only in Monaco. Thursday witnesses the start of the on track action in the principality as Friday is a "rest day" for the teams and it frees up the public roads for use.

So that brings all the usual Thursday action around the paddock and pit lane forward, hence why for one year only we have a special "Wednesday Snap Shot." As it's the most prestigious race on the calendar, even busier schedules are coupled with stunning back drops and plenty of media attention.

Here's a peak at all the Formula 1 action from Wednesday around the streets of Monte Carlo, with a day packed full of Media, PR, Sponsor events along with track walks and garage preparations ahead of the first and second practice sessions.

Formula 1's most popular puppy, Lewis Hamilton's Roscoe, made an outing in the pit lane and around the harbour-side paddock...

...but it all proved too much for him and as his owner sat to discuss the upcoming weekend, the cute bulldog squeezed in a quick power nap at his Hamilton's feet.

Kamui Kobayashi, now a sportscar driver for Ferrari (hence the T-Shirt), made an appearance in the paddock on Wednesday.

GP2's resident Twitter-controller announced the series hashtag for the Monaco Grand Prix. Their races will be supporting Formula 1 this weekend.

Stefano Coletti, winner at the Spanish round of the GP2 series, took part in the typical winners photo-shoot next to the Mediterranean sea.

However the sun didn't last for long, dark clouds rolled over the hills and drenched the track in rain.

Red Bull showed off their incredible floating motorhome, which was the location for some filming work. Sebastian Vettel met with Rally ace Sebastian Ogier for a catch up in what was a busy day for the triple world champion.

Lotus F1 Team driver Kimi Raikkonen was a popular guy in the paddock for the worlds media, the Finn didn't have too much to say but shared his positive feelings towards this weekend.
