She said "Motorsport is my life and I've really missed being away from the grid, I am so excited to be joining the BBC. Working alongside such an eminent team and the F1 world is a huge honour and I can't wait to get started."

The BBC also announced the 10 live races they will broadcast, the other 9 will have extended highlights. These are China, Spain, Canada, Silverstone, the vacant European GP slot, Belgium, Italy, Japan, India and Brazil. It means the team will not broadcast live at the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix as well as the two opening rounds.

Sky F1:

Sky Sports F1 revealed a largely unchanged team for the 2013 season. It will be fronted again by presenters Simon Lazenby and Georgie Thompson, with commentary from Martin Brundle, David Croft and Anthony Davidson for Free Practice. Natalie Pinkham and Ted Kravitz will patrol the pit lane, with Damon Hill and Johnny Herbert joining Martin Brundle and Anthony Davidson as pundits.
