The road to Radio - Sarah from @F1_Fans_Updates

So here at JLF1 guest blogs are always welcome, and this week I was delighted to ask Sarah from @F1_Fans_Updates on twitter to write a post on her ambitions and future radio show. Over to you Sarah...

Hello everyone, welcome to my guest post on http://jackleslief1.blogspot.co.uk/. My name is Sarah and I run @F1_Fans_Updates.  In this blog I am going to tell you all about where my passion for Formula one came from, what made me create @F1_Fans_Updates and reveal some EXCUSIVE news about my new project...

So to start off I am going to answer a question I get asked a lot “how long have you been a F1 fan and do you have a favourite team or driver?” Well, I have been a F1 fan since 2007. The first race I watched was the Australian Grand Prix and since then, I have been hocked and have only missed one race.  As 2007 was my first year watching F1 I quickly became a Hamilton and McLaren fan, I was amazed with the way he drove and to nearly win the championship in his first season was amazing. Since then however, I have become more of a fan of the sport in general and I respect, support and admire all the teams and drivers for the amazing work they do.
As I mentioned before I run @F1_Fans_Updates on twitter which I set up on the 6th January this year. My ambition when I first created the page was to get 100 followers by March and to create a place where fans of ALL teams/drivers could come and share their thoughts and opinions freely without the worrying that they would be judged.

I am truly amazed and humbled by all the amazing support I have received from the F1 fans on twitter, I NEVER expected to get over 150 followers let alone the 2,141 that I have at the moment which includes David Croft.  At the start of the season I got the chance to send in questions from my followers to David Croft and Antony Davidson which was great of them to do. I know I say it a lot, but I really cannot thank everyone who supports me by following and participating in my daily #F1POTD (F1 Poll of the Day) enough.
I have many future plans in the pipeline for my account, but at the moment I am content knowing that people continue to enjoy and have fun participating in #F1POTD and the debates and discussions on a daily basis.

Yesterday (4th May 2012) I was delighted to learn that this week I am number 3 world ranking on the F1 top users, where Jack also lies 21st, (http://f1topusers.wordpress.com/2012/05/04/top-30-f1-twitter-users-for-this-week-april-28-2012-to-may-4-2012/ )! I was stunned when I heard the news and again I cannot thank my F1Family enough for all the support they have given me, because without them there would be no @F1_Fans_Updates.
Since creating @F1_Fans_Updates I have spoken to many knowledgeable and dedicated F1 fans.  Obviously, the list is too long to thank everyone individually, but I would like to say a special big thank you to the following people who have been exceptionally helpful and supportive to me over the past five months;
Finally, I am delighted to tell you all about my new radio show called PitStopRadio starting Friday 11th May 2012 at 8PM BST.
