Johnny Herbert joins Sky Sports F1's coverage for the next 5 races

Johnny Herbert will join the Sky Sports F1 Team in travelling to the next 5 Grand Prix's. Johnny replaced Damon Hill in China and had very good feedback. He will join the team on screen for the next 5 races, as well as continuing to appear on the F1 Show every Friday.

JOHNNY HERBERT will provide expert analysis for Sky Sports F1TM HD at the next five Grands PrixTM....


......Former Formula 1TM driver and FIA race steward Johnny Herbert will offer analysis as part of live coverage of the 2012 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER SPANISH GRAND PRIX, 2012 FORMULA 1MONACO GRAND PRIX,  2012 FORMULA 1 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX, 2012 FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIXOF EUROPE and the 2012 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX, where he achieved his first Grand PrixTM victory in 1995. He will also appear on the F1TM Show with Georgie Thompson and Ted Kravitz.

Johnny won three races and achieved seven podium finishes in a Formula 1TM career spanning eleven years driving for teams including Lotus, Sauber, Benetton and Jaguar. He fulfilled his role as an FIA steward for the first two races of this 2012 season before joining Sky Sports F1TM HD for the 2012 FORMULA 1 UBS CHINESE GRAND PRIX toprovide expert analysis alongside Martin Brundle.

Sky Sports Executive Producer for Formula 1TM, Martin Turner, said: “Johnny’s invaluable expert opinions form a core part of the F1TM Show, and we’re delighted to confirm his input for the next five races. His in-depth steward’s knowledge of the rules and regulations of this intricate sport, on the back of his own fantastic career as an F1TM driver, mean he’s fast become a favourite with viewers and a key member of the Sky Sports F1TMHD team.”

Speaking about his role, Johnny said: “I’ve been involved with Formula 1TM for over two decades, so I’m really enjoying sharing my insights and experiences with Sky Sports F1TM HD viewers in live coverage, build-up, analysis and of course the innovative new F1TM Show. Four races in, this championship is the closest I’ve ever seen since I’ve been involved with F1TM, so we can look forward to even more exciting racing as the drivers and teams battle to find an edge over one another. I can’t wait.”
