The HRT F1 Team target a second test launch for their 2012 challenger.
HRT are renowned for their late launches and absence from the testing sessions, but this year it could change. The team have announced they target launching their car at the second test, at the Circuit de Catalunya. Here is the full 2012 winter schedule.
The team had raised concerns over the launch of their car, and whether it would even be ready for the first race of the season after complications while re-locating the team to Spain. The team are keen to make an all Spanish Squad. The team admitted the restructuring has caused "critical delay" to their design and production facilities. However the team are adamant the car will be launched in time for the second winter test.
A spokesperson for the team said "Rumours that we will take part in the initial grands prix with the 2011 car are not true. The target is to be at the second [pre-season] test with the new car."
