(c) HRT

HRT F1 Team: The team have revealed difficulty in attempting to make the whole winter testing programme due to complications with the relocation of the team to Spain, so its debut in Melbourne's first free practice would not be unlikely.

(c) Marussia F1 Team
Marussia F1 Team: The team have been rather quiet since signing new driver Charles Pic but an early to mid February unveiling is the most probable answer. However it was confirmed after a few weeks of silence that they will reveal their "whole new car" at the second test in Spain at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Testing is an important time for both drivers and teams. It gives the drivers an opportunity to get a feel for the car, its handling and where to improve. It gives a much better feel than any simulator can. It also lets teams work on reliability and design so their cars are as competitive as they can be for the 2012 season opener in Australia.
