F1's tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed the compound nominations for the second and third rounds of the 2016 season.
Having announced its selection for the first race of 2016 in Australia earlier this month, Pirelli has now revealed the choices for Bahrain and China.
Each driver has 13 sets available per race weekend but Pirelli will choose two sets for the race (one of which must be used) as well as a set of the softest nominated compound.
This tyre should only be used in Q3. Drivers can select any combination of compounds from those nominated for the remaining 10 sets.
The same tyres have been selected for the Bahrain and Chinese rounds of the 2016 season, with Pirelli set to bring the white-marked medium tyre, yellow-banded soft and the red super-soft.
The medium and soft tyres must be used at some point during the race and the super-soft compound has been assigned for Q3. This set must then be returned to Pirelli afterwards.
Pirelli's announcement means the same three tyre compounds will be used for the opening races of the 2016 season in Australia, Bahrain and China.
