Sergio Perez suffered a rear suspension failure during FP1, which pitched his car into a roll on the back straight. Fortunately he was okay, but his car certainly was not...
Marcus Ericsson was one of five drivers eliminated from qualifying in Q1. He finished just behind Jenson Button, and ahead of team-mate Felipe Nasr, Roberto Merhi and Will Stevens.
Fernando Alonso's car lasted just a few minutes before breaking down in Q2. He helped push his car back to the McLaren garage after it ground to a halt at the pit lane entry, but was eliminated.
We witnessed some great, close battles in the early laps. Nasr and Maldonado scrapped in the midfield, before the Lotus driver made contact with Perez.
The two Mercedes drivers had looked set to benefit from the Safety Car, but on the restart Hamilton and Ricciardo made contact, dropping the Englishman down the order.
Out front, it was a faultless drive from Vettel to score his second win for Ferrari and the 41st of his career. Ferrari showed strong pace throughout the race, and he stayed well clear of the madness behind to take victory.
