The GP2 series has announced the teams that will take part in the fourth three-year cycle.
The feeder series debuted in 2005 and has built up a strong reputation for training the future stars of Formula 1. Of the 22 drivers on the 2013 grid, 11 of them have graduated from GP2 and five are past champions in the series.
With the fourth cycle of the series arriving in 2014, the 13 teams that will contest in the championship have been revealed.
12 of the current 13 teams on the grid will remain and the Campos Racing squad will make a return to the series.
Campos Racing, owned by former F1 driver Adrian Campos, competed in the first four seasons of the championship before it was taken over by Alejandro Agag and renamed Barwa Addax.
However, the Campos name will return for the 2014 season to replace the Barwa Addax squad - who won the teams title in 2011 with drivers Charles Pic and Giedo van der Garde (recognise those names?)
Here is the full list of 2013 teams competing in the fourth GP2 cycle from 2014-2016:
"We are pleased to welcome back Adrian Campos to GP2 and I would like to thank Alejandro Agag for his involvement in our Series: Barwa Addax Team won the Teams’ Title in 2011 with Charles Pic and Giedo van der Garde as drivers. I wish Alejandro all the best in his next challenge."
Currently, the 2013 GP2 series is being led by Fabio Leimer, driving for Racing Engineering. However with just two races to go at the finale in Abu Dhabi, Brit Sam Bird - driving for RUSSIAN TIME - is hot on his heels.
Bird has helped the RUSSIAN TIME team into the lead of the team's championship, just ahead of the well-known Carlin squad.
