2013 Malaysian Grand Prix, Thursday Snap Shot

Here's the Thursday Snap Shot for this weekends Malaysian Grand Prix.

Drivers and teams had numerous tasks to do throughout the day. For the drivers it was mainly walking the track, doing interviews and completing sponsor commitments. For the team it was a busy day preparing for Free Practice and gaining data from the track walk.

The Lotus F1 Team got interrupted by the usual heavy downpour whilst completing Media duties...

... but managed to make it to the FIA Press Conference where their driver Kimi Raikkonen was answering questions from the media, as we all know a task he hates doing!

Meanwhile over at McLaren, Jenson Button was spotted doing some filming work for his sponsors.

Caterham's Charles Pic leads a rather large group of team members on the usual Thursday track walk despite soaring temperatures.

Paul Di Resta also completed the track walk, albeit with a slightly smaller group of people. The track walk is key for spotting track or kerb changes and is especially important if it is your first time racing at that track.

The Mercedes duo visited the iconic Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, along with Toto Wolff.

Valtteri Bottas attended a prestigious event and met the Malaysian king.

Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen got down to some media work in the vast Sepang International Circuit paddock.

Jenson Button also had some media duties to attend to, talking to Sky Sports F1's Ted Kravitz.

Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have a look around their Malaysian Grand Prix garage and check up on how the W04 car build is coming along.

There was a scrum for soundbites from Sebastian Vettel, spot the microphones. Also check out Will Buxton wiping away a tear, what was it that Sebastian said?

F1 rookie Giedo van der Garde and GP2 racer Ma Qing Hua visited a shopping centre to sign autographs.
