Drivers expect Canada to unveil potential

Drivers and teams expect this weekends Canadian Grand Prix will reveal the potential of their cars.

Up till now teams have been confused with how their car is performing thanks to the ever changing order. We have seen 6 winners in 6 races and we could well see it become 7 in Canada

Canada is a track littered with medium and low speed corners breaking up medium length straights. It should show who is performing well in a straight line and who is getting the best out of the car through the corners.

Some drivers have expressed the importance of a good weekend in Canada.

Paul Di Resta said "It wasn't a secret that we struggled at the beginning of the year compared to what we first thought, but we rapidly moved on," We brought a good update to Barcelona and we brought that forward. [In] Monaco [it] was difficult to understand that much more, but here will give us a better indication of what to expect for the forthcoming races. We feel we are a bit behind Sauber and Williams at the moment and to overcome them we need to do the maximum job in the races, and that is what we need to do this weekend."

Fernando Alonso also expects the Ferrari's potential to come to light, saying "I think we have improved the car in these areas since the beginning of the season and Canada will be a good test in this respect, Hopefully this weekend we will see a competitive Ferrari and that will be very important for us, not just for this race but also for the rest of the season."
