Lewis Hamilton has shrug off the frustration of finishing 3rd in last weekends Australian Grand Prix after starting the race on pole.
The British driver looked disappointed in the post-race press conference and on the podium, but he has shrugged off any negative emotion on the race and said on the matter of the Mclaren teams 1-3 finish "it's definitely a good start to the year that both of us finished on the podium and in the points."
He also went on to say "We appear to be the team to beat, which is a good sign. The team have been working hard for that. It's definitely the position to be in, and we're strong which is also a good place to be. He then went on to add about his performance throughout during the race "As for me, I definitely do feel as though I've got it in myself to go for the title. I feel as ready as ever. I was ready on Sunday, it's just that some things didn't go my way."
However despite the confidence in the car and his team, he has warned them and also himself that they can not get too "carried away" with the result because there are a number of fast cars in Australia, saying its "too early to tell". He also expects the Mclaren MP4-27 to go well at this weekends Malaysian Grand Prix and hopes the team can perform strongly.
