Bernie "Bahrain will be fine"

There have been increasing amounts of unrest in Bahrain over the last few months, but F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has said "we'll be there as long as they want us" and that it is "fine".

Bahrain's Grand Prix was postponed and then cancelled in 2011 after the unrest, but with the violence continuing and threats that they do not want the F1 circus to continue to Bahrain, the race was put under some doubt.

However Bernie Ecclestone has insisted the race will go ahead on the 22nd of April, saying he has "no concerns" over the event. He said "Whatever is necessary to do will be done, and which is probably not necessary anyway," added Ecclestone. We've never been concerned about security in the past. I don't understand why people should be concerned now."

There have been concerns over the safety of the race going ahead. Rumours of teams missing the race have been heard, but so far it looks like F1 will be going to Bahrain.
