Red Bull and Ferrari have been told they can not run their cars a day later than everyone else at the last winter test in Barcelona.
The 2 teams had agreed to test on the 2nd to 5th of March, meaning the last day would be a free circuit for just their 2 cars. This would mean they could run any new parts without other teams seeing. The team's will now run from Thursday to Sunday, like the rest of the teams.
Both teams have revealed they received a new clarification in the Sporting Regulations, Article 22.4, which was sent to the teams late on Monday.
Ferrari said "it is no longer possible to run on Monday 5 March: as a result, the test schedule for Scuderia Ferrari and the other teams that had originally decided to follow this option now reverts to that of the majority, running from Thursday 1 March to Sunday 4 March." Alonso will be driving on Friday and Sunday while Brazilian Felipe Massa will take the wheel of the F2012 on Thurday and Saturday.
Red Bull have also followed suit with Mark Webber driving Thursday and Saturday, with 2 time world champion Vettel at the wheel on Friday and Sunday.
