New Jersey to host a race in 2013

The US state of New Jersey will host a Grand Prix in 2013, adding to the Circuit of America's in Austin, Texas, which joins the calendar in 2012. This meant there will be 2 races in the US from 2013 onwards.

The circuit will be a 3.2mile street course with views of New York. "I'm pleased New Jersey will play host to Formula 1, bringing one of the world's most popular sports to our backyard," said New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

The race will run on existing roads and run through Port Imperial and West New York. The people involved in the designing and overseeing of the event say the course provides a "challenge".

2 US GP's i feel is rather sudden, from having no races in the country one year, to having 2 planned the next is very spontaneous but hopefully the mix of a street course in a city and a track in the middle of the countryside will provide the differences.
